The vision for Salud Texas Clinic was brought to life by two dedicated sisters, Nurse Practitioners Melida Avila and Flor Saenz. With deep roots in the community and a shared commitment to health, they recognized a critical need for high-quality medical care delivered in the native language of their patients. Both Melida and Flor have extensive experience in healthcare and are passionate advocates for the health and well-being of their community. They believe that effective communication is essential for fostering trust and understanding between provider and patient.

Melida and Flor embody the principles of a healthy lifestyle, serving as role models for their patients. They emphasize the importance of preventive care, nutrition, and fitness, encouraging families to adopt habits that promote long-term wellness. Melida Avila FNP-C

Melida Avila is a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner with a passion for providing quality healthcare to diverse communities. Originally from El Paso, Texas, Melida began her journey in nursing at the University of Texas at El Paso, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing in 2013. She went on to obtain her Master’s degree in Nursing from the University of Texas in Arlington in 2018.

With a robust nursing background in medical-surgical, psychiatry, and hospice care, Melida brings a wealth of experience to her practice. In 2020, she relocated to the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, where she has since been serving the community in family medicine and endocrinology. Her comprehensive approach to patient care is rooted in her commitment to understanding the unique needs of her patients and providing them with compassionate support.

Outside of her professional life, Melida is a devoted wife and mother of two, who enjoys spending quality time with her family. She is an avid fitness enthusiast who loves weight lifting,biking, and snowboarding. She is always seeking new adventures and ways to stay active.

Melida finds great fulfilment in her role as a nurse practitioner, where she is able to make a positive impact on the lives of her patients and contribute to the health and wellness of the communities she serves. Her dedication to providing exceptional care and her ability to connect with patients from all walks of life truly make her a valuable asset to the Salud Texas Clinic team.

Flor Angeli Saenz FNP-BC

Flor Angeli Saenz, a distinguished graduate of United States University in 2022, holds a prestigious board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner, embodying a profound commitment to primary care and preventative health practices. Her professional ethos is rooted in the idea that a well-informed patient is a critical asset in the realm of disease prevention, underscoring her relentless endeavor to educate individuals regarding their health conditions and the underlying processes.

With a rich academic background, Flor is adept at synthesizing complex medical information into comprehensible insights, empowering her patients to take proactive steps towards their well-being. Her approach is a blend of modern medical practices intertwined with a strong emphasis on fostering a collaborative doctor-patient relationship, nurturing an environment where individuals feel comfortable and informed.
